Lola Louise Ward

Service for Lola Louise Ward will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Friendly Foyil Baptist Church; burial will follow at Ward's Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, October 30, from 1-7 pm, with family receiving visitors from 5pm-7pm
Louise began her life on March 6, 1933, and left all of her loved ones peacefully in her sleep, on October 28, 2017. Her parents were Emmett Eldon and Mattie Harper Lunsford. Louise was reared in the Oowalla community with her parents and two sisters, Lillian Josephine and Doris Ann. She attended high school in Foyil, graduating in 1951. On January 3, 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Finis Ward.They were married for 56 years before his passing in 2008.
Louise was active in her community through her church, Foyil Schools, and serving on the City Council. However, her first priority was her family; especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed spending time with them. Everyone who knew her loved her homemade pies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Finis Ward, her sister, Lillian Andrews, and her granddaughter-in-law Colleen Mullen Ward.
Those family members that survive include her children, Michelle Wilson and husband John, Wade Ward and wife Pam, Wes Ward and wife Lunna, Will Ward and wife Angela,, and Traci Marang and husband Ricky, all of Rogers County. She was Mo Mo to her 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Doris Ann and Woodrow Norwood of Tulsa; sisters-in-law Su Nell Estes and husband Bud of Potwin, Kansas, and Galela Barrett of San Antonio, Texas, many nieces and nephews, and her very special friend, Billy Garner.
