Born May 25, 1923 in Oilton, Oklahoma to Fred Emerson and Rosabell (Butner) Lewis, Adalade received her education first at Harmony Star grade school and later Tiawah. She and Vincent Noah Wilson married on June 10, 1942 and together made their home in Claremore and the couple was blessed with five children.
Adalade worked as a seamstress for the Bryan Infant Wear for over eleven years. She may have worked outside her home, but when it came to taking care of her family, Adalade always put them first. She enjoyed serving holiday meals at her home and being together with all of her children and grandchildren. Adalade loved to visit craft shows and she always had a project in the works. Church was also important and she was very active with all of its ministries. Adalade especially loved spending time with the ladies group at the church.
A kind, caring and loving mother, grandmother and friend, Adalade will be missed by all that knew her. Those family members that survive include her children Carolyn Mock and husband Bill of Bartlesville, Jack Wilson and wife Mary of Owasso, James Wilson and wife Kathy and Bobby Joe Wilson and wife Anita and Freda Rohr and husband Arlyn all of Claremore; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her sister Valaria Millikin of Adair. Adalade was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vincent, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
