Al Jarboe

Funeral service for Richard Albert "Al" Jarboe will be 10 a.m., Fri., Sept. 24, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tom Launius officiating. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m.

Al died Sun., Sept. 19, 2010, at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, at the age of 90.

The son of James Ray and Charity May (Geer) Jarboe was born June 11, 1920, in Lamar, CO. Al worked at McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing for 35 years, retiring in 1979. He worked in the Management of Tooling. Al was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Rod and Gun Club, Ducks Unlimited, Elk's Club, NRA, and Good Sam's Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Al is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Belle in 2007; his parents; brother, James F. Jarboe; and sister, Alice Carter.

Al is survived by his son, Richard Jarboe and wife, Donna of Owasso; daughter, Alice Ghilino and husband, Ray of Virginia; brothers: Vernon Austin Jarboe and wife, Lorraine, and Donald Lester Jarboe and wife, Doris all of Kansas; granddaughter, Lisa Fienberg and husband, Brent of Texas; great-granddaughter, Allisan Feinberg of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
