Graveside service for Aleen F. Hadden will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee under the direction of the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service and Crematory. Chaplain Lisa Sowers will officiate.
Mrs. Hadden passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her home in Big Cabin at the age of 85.
The daughter of Bud and Lassie Weatherford Borders was born September 25, 1926 in Westmorland, Tennessee. A few years later she and her family moved to Scottville, Kentucky. There she met a local pipe liner named Jack P. Hadden. They were married February 9, 1950 in Georgia. Over the next several years she traveled from job to job with her husband. After Jack's retirement in 1976, they moved to Big Cabin. There she continued her love of gardening, flowers, and sewing. After the death of her husband, Aleen decided to begin working. She started working at Reasors in Langley, where she worked for several years. The past several years she enjoyed spending time at home with her family and her companion Carl Tiger.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Lassie, husband, Jack Hadden and sisters, Virginia West and Mae Maguire.
Survivors include her daughters, Tena Sheram and husband Don of Bellivista, Arkansas, Brenda Maner and husband Brian Evans of Big Cabin, and Jackie Athea Hadden of Muskogee; grandchildren, Daniel Lester-Miller, Tracy Lynn Quesenberry, Amanda Marshall, Phillip Russell, and Joshua Russell; great-grandchildren, Kyle C. Miller, Katie Nicole Miller, Luke Russell, Cadence Russell and Krew Russell,and companion of several years Carl Tiger.
