Angela Fry

Service for Angela Fry will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 30, 2022 at Talala Christian Church, burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2pm-8pm, with family receiving visitors from 6pm-8pm. Angela passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was 77.

Born October 15, 1944 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to Roy and Hazel (Combs) Curby, Angela attended Oologah-Talala schools, graduating with the class of 1962. On March 4, 1961 she married Dennis Fry and the couple made their home in Talala. Angela began working for an insurance company following high school, after a time she became a secretary for Oologah schools and faithfully worked until retiring in 1999.

Angela enjoyed traveling and shopping. She and Dennis made many trips through the years and enjoyed seeing many parts of the world such as Spain, Alaska, the Caribbean, Jamaica, and Mexico to name a few. Shopping was another past time she enjoyed, trips to town on Saturday would bring a new outfit with all the accessories. Most important to Angela was time with family. She loved making the holidays special with food and decorations. Those grandchildren were the highlight of her life and she treasured every minute spent with them.

Those family members that survive include her husband Dennis Fry; son Curby Lynn Fry and wife Nita; grandchildren Amber Devilbiss and husband Layle; Cody Fry, and Savanna Morton and husband R.J.; great grandchildren Maddux Devilbiss, Kharington Devilbiss, Tyler Morton, Morgan Morton, Cade Platner, and Collins Morton; her brother Bill Curby and wife Alice. Angela was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Hazel Curby.
