Anita Kay Wilson passed away on July 8, 2022, she was 67 years old.
Anita was born in Galveston Texas on August 31st, 1954. She attended Claremore Public schools growing up and graduated with the class of 1972. After high school, she went on to further her education in the RN program through St. John's hospital. She was the second to last class to go through their program before it was discontinued, it had been in existence for 50 years.
She met Bob Wilson the love of her life through her brother, Rusty, who was a good friend of his. The couple married on May 28, 1976 and had 46 wonderful years together.
Bob and Anita moved to Owasso, OK for several years before making their final home in Claremore, OK.
Over the years she was very much involved with the Boy Scout troops and helped start the troop in Claremore-Sequoyah. During her time with the boy scouts she was the nurse for the Boy Scout camp grounds at Camp Garland in Locust Grove, OK, and was head of the camp for several years. She loved being a care giver, Anita worked as a home health nurse for a time and was the RN for the Rogers County Adult Day care for the last part of her career.
Some of her hobbies she enjoyed were crocheting, reading and putting puzzles together. Above everything else she loved her family, and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her dad Bud Williams, her brother Russell Williams, and her sister Susan Williams.
She is survived by her husband Bob Wilson, and two sons Jerry and Michael Wilson, all of Claremore, and Anita’s mother Della Williams of Claremore, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
