Memorial service for Ann Renee Main will be 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 21, at North Park Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Scottie Titsworth officiating.
Renee went to be with the Lord on Wed., Aug. 18, 2010, at Claremore Regional Hospital at the age of 59.
The daughter of William J. and Patricia Ann (Chenoweth) Crume was born Aug. 4, 1951, in Tulsa. Renee graduated from Claremore High School in 1969; and continued her education at OBU then Northeastern State University, graduating in 1974. Renee taught at Sequoyah, Verdigris, and Claremore school systems; and for the last several years teaching kindergarten at Westside Elementary School. Renee was a member of North Park Trinity Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the O.E.A. She was an accomplished pianist and artist. She made jewelry, and was especially known for her handcut and painted wood necklaces representing Oklahoma, animals, and the Amish. The necklaces have been distributed all over the world; including Gov. Bellmon giving several necklaces to important dignitaries. Renee had previously played piano at Hilldale Baptist Church, and was currently active playing piano with Ken Hays in nursing home ministry.
Renee was preceded in death by her father, Bill Crume; husband, Jim Main; and grandparents: Bea and Cecil Chenoweth.
She is survived by her mother, Pat Crume of Claremore; sons: Mark D. Mobra and wife, Ashley, and William Ray Main and Laura Battles all of Claremore; grandchildren: Riley Mobra, Ashton Mobra, Emily Conner, and Madison Main; fiance, Wendell Bonwell of Claremore; sisters: Ralinda Froman and husband, Steve of Sapulpa, and Raleah Harper and husband, Rob of Lawton; and niece and nephew, Hannah and Joshua Harper.
