Memorial service for Anna "Pearl" Steward will be 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 30, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Chaplain Allen McBroom officiating.
Pearl died Wed., Aug. 25, 2010, at her home at the age of 82.
The daughter of James Kelly and Beatrice Barbara (McBroom) Bohannon was born June 22, 1928, in DeWitt, AR. Pearl worked in a shoe factory, and a high school cafeteria in DeWitt, AR. In 1968, she moved to Claremore, and stayed home to take care of her family. After her children were raised Pearl went to work as a beautician at Personal Touch Salon owned by Betty Smith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Steward, Sr. in 1993; her parents; and 3 brothers.
Pearl is survived by her son, John Robert Steward, Jr. and wife, Shirley Ann of Claremore; daughter, Martha Kay Steward of Claremore; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Clinton K. Bohannon of Camden, AR, and Earnest G. Bohannon of Gulf Port, MS; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sisters: A. Pauline Rieves of Lake View, AR, G. Irene Hobbs of Taylor, MI, Donna Mae Morgan of Tichnor, AR, and Barbara Jo Notter of Little Rock, AR.
