Anna Marie Young

Visitation for Anna Young will be from 1pm--8pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors from 6pm--8pm.

Anna Marie Young passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at OSU Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was 63.

Born December 16, 1952 in Ft. Lewis, Washington to Melvin and Elizabeth (Hendricks) Padgett, Anna lived in several different places including Louisiana. She married Don Young on November 1, 1974 and the couple made their home in Plain Dealing, Following his passing Anna moved to Shreveport and lived there until 2000, she then moved to Claremore.

Anna worked as a CNA at Claremore Nursing Home, Wood Manor Nursing Home and Brookfield Assistant Living. She was a nurturing and giving and loved to take care of people. When she was not hard at work, she enjoyed fishing, puzzles and spending time with her family.

A loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, Anna will be missed by all who knew her. Those family members that survive include her children Dawn Young, Molly Lewis and Kevin Padgett all of Claremore; her 6 grandchildren; her mother Elizabeth Padgett also of Claremore; her sisters Sherry Shaver of Shreveport, Louisiana and Becky Jones of Chelsea; her brothers Charles Padgett of Claremore and Joe Padgett also of Shreveport. Anna was preceded in death by her father and husband.
