Funeral service for Tony Wilson will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Pastor Mike Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Boatman Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2012 . Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m..
Anthony "Tony" Wilson passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home in Spavinaw at the age of 48.
The son of Joseph and Dixie Hobbs Wilson was born February 4, 1963 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was raised on his family's farm just a few miles outside of town. He attended Osage and Pryor schools. A very talented athlete; Tony excelled at wrestling and football. After high school Tony enlisted in the Army National Guard. April 15, 1989 he married his high school sweetheart Rochelle Sessions. They were married in Miami and made their home near Pryor. He was employed in the manufacturing business, working for Red Devil and Orchid most of his working career. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rochelle Sessions; father, Joseph Wilson; and step-daughter, Brandi Rogers Chandler.
Survivors include his mother, Dixie Wilson of Claremore; sisters, Diane Hugley and husband Jerry of Adair, Kim Littledave of Pryor, Kathy Jones and husband Charlie of Claremore, and Kelly Wilson of Claremore; brother, Joseph Wilson Jr and wife Marie of Tulsa; wife, Connie Whitten of Salina and her children, Brittany Whitten of Salina and Amanda Soukup and husband Trey of Pryor; and grandchildren: Chuck Irvin, Jacob Irvin, Luke Irvin, and Jazlyn Irvin all of Salina, and Lane Soukup of Pryor.
