Arlene Faye Wilmath

October 14, 1945 — April 27, 2015

Graveside services for Arlene Wilmath will be 10:00a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery, under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 30 at the funeral home from 1pm-8pm, family will receive visitors from 5pm-7pm. Arlene passed away at her home on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the age of 69.
Born October 14, 1945 in Aurora, Illinois to Earl J. and Ella ( ) Wilkinson, Arlene was reared and educated in Elburn Illinois and graduated with the class of 1963 from Kaneland High School. In 1964 she married Jerry Wayne Wilmath and the couple made their home in Illinois before moving to Oklahoma and settling in Claremore and this has been home since.
Arlene’s focus in life was her family and she made sure they were well taken care of. She loved having her grandchildren around and spoiled them often. When she was younger and time allowed Arlene enjoyed fishing. Her love of family spilled over in her relationships with her friends, of which she had many. She also was an animal lover and couldn’t resist helping a stray out.
A kind and caring mother, grandmother and friend, Arlene leaves behind many memories. Those family members that survive include her children Jerry Wilmath, Jr. of Novi, Michigan, Kenny Wilmath and wife Sara of Chouteau, Martin Wilmath and wife Kristi of Nashville, Michigan and Penni Moore of Claremore; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; her sisters Elma Wilmath and husband James, Karen Sivert and husband Robert all of Elburn, Illinois, Marylyn Long of Sugar Grove, Illinois and Ella “Sally” Malnar and husband John of Jefferson, Wisconsin; her brother Earl Wilkinson of Mesa, Arizona and her ex-husband Jerry Wilmath, Sr. of Novi, Michigan. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents.
