Arlyn Wayne Rohr, 71, known to many as Doc, passed away Friday September 3, 2021.
The son of Robert Wayne Rohr and Margaret “Colleen” Motter Rohr was born on May 26, 1950 in Claremore, OK.
Arlyn graduated Claremore High School in 1968. Enjoyed serving in the Air Force from 1969-1973. Arlyn was also honored as a Cherokee warrior.
A graduate of Logan Chiropractic College, he enjoyed a successful career as a Dr. of Chiropractic practicing for 16 years in Claremore, OK. before retiring in 1996 to engage in raising cattle and enjoying country life. Arlyn enjoyed setting up at a lot of the horse shows around the state to sell gloves and leather goods, and talking to all of the people.
Growing up, he spent many summers helping his grandparents on the farm in rural Rogers County. Arlyn served on the board at Victory Christian Center for a time. Volunteered at camp Dry Gulch and was in several of the cowboy movies they made, and also earned a certificate from the Western Stuntmen of Texas seminar. Arlyn was one of a very few civilians that the wildlife management personnel invited to go out on horseback and roundup the longhorn and buffalo for their annual sale for several years in Valentine, Nebraska, and also helped round up the Elk herd and move them to the winter pastures.
Arlyn liked watching football, and enjoyed talking about the Lord and witnessing, always ready with a tasteful joke, and a smile. He enjoyed visiting with friends in the mornings at the local donut shop. Arlyn had a very giving and caring spirit, and he will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Robert Wayne and Colleen Rohr.
