Memorial service for Armanda Sue Horton will be 11 a.m., Sat., Feb. 11, at American Legion Post 147, Miami.
Armanda died Tues., Jan. 24, 2012, at her home at the age of 44.
The daughter of Eldon Lavern Horton and Amanda Sue Wolfinbarger was born May 5, 1967, in Miami. She graduated from Miami High School. While in high school, Armanda loved playing basketball for three years; but band, softball, and horses were her passions. She played in the band since she was in the 5th grade, including the Jazz Band at NEO in Miami. Armanda played softball up into her early 30's. Armanda made her home in Claremore. She worked as an x-ray technician in nuclear medicine at Claremore Regional, St. John, Grove, Hillcrest, and Columbia, SC Hospital's. Armanda enjoyed fourwheeling, spending time in the woods, playing skipbo and dominoes, puzzles, fishing, and her dogs.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Armanda is survived by her siblings: Walter Ellison of Miami, Bob Ellison of Rogers, AR, Randy Ellison of Green Bay, WI, Steve Ellison of Monett, MO, Chris Horton of Miami, Fritze Roberson of McAlester, Brian Murphy of Miami, and Charles Murphy of Miami.
