A Rosary will be held at 7pm, Monday, March 28 also at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Arthur passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the age of 74.
Born August 17, 1941 in Big Cabin, Oklahoma to William I and Dona Kate (Roberts) Leake, Arthur received his education in his birth community, graduating with the class of 1960 from Big Cabin High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Arthur worked for General Foods in Kankakee, Illinois for a time before going to work at Tulsa Ford Glass. He retired from there with over 28 years of faithful service. On April 16, 1966 Arthur married Judith Ann Patnaude in a Kankakee, Illinois ceremony.
Arthur was kind and generous man, giving help not only to his family, but to anyone in need. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and neighbors and could strike up a conversation with a total stranger. He loved to fish the ponds on his property and work in his large garden. His garden was big enough to share with family and friends. He could fix just about anything and this came in handy keeping the equipment needed to operate a cattle ranch in working order. Many of Arthur's neighbors and passer-byers will miss seeing him with his big floppy hat and back pack spraying the weeds in his pasture.
Survivors include his wife Judith Ann Leake of their home; his daughter Katrina Boyer and husband Bret of Inola; his son Randal Leake and wife Teresa also of Inola; granddaughter Amber and husband Rigo Jacinto and great granddaughter Alessia Jacinto all of Mexico; his brothers and sisters Irvin Leake of Big Cabin, Jerry Leake of Inola, Donald Leake and wife Adele of Catoosa, Charlie Leake and wife Pat of Tulsa, Bill Leake of Owasso, Faye Baker of Riverside, California and Maxine CLY Inglehart of Tulsa. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leroy, George and Walter, sisters Ella Kuhar and Lola Inglehart , and his grandson Dylan Leake.
