Graveside service for Audra Pauline Hipp will be 2:00p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Ward's Grove Cemetery. Audra passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Broken Arrow Nursing Home at the age of 74.
Born in Stilwell, Oklahoma on December 6, 1941 to Richard Quinton and Lena (Mills) Lee, Audra was raised in Foyil. She married Arthur Pat Hipp in 1958, and the couple made their home in Verdigris.
Audra worked for many years as a cook for Claremore public schools. Later, she began housekeeping for senior adults, which often included providing meals and spending time with them. Audra was famous for her cinnamon rolls and she shared them with many through out her life. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and gardening. Audra was active in her church, teaching children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Her grandchildren were very important to her and she loved having them around.
A very strong and caring woman, Audra is survived by her children Rick Hipp, Max Hipp and wife Dorothy, and Bryan Hipp and wife Rhonda; her grandchildren Kristin Doyon, Kasey Hall, Nick Hipp, Cody Hipp, Amy Hipp and Emily Hipp; her great grandchildren Tayla Hipp, Landon Hipp and Anderson Hall; her brother Henry Lee and sister Ruth Hendrix. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Art, and her brother Jim Lee.
