Surrounded by her family, Avery Cheyenne Page joined the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the age of 15. Born November 30, 2000, in Tulsa, Okla. to her loving parents Kerry and Jon Page, Avery’s life continues to be honored by her big brother Cale Eidson, big sister Chandler Eidson Dunlap, and her beloved little brother Dakota Page.
Avery was her Momma’s Punkin’ Pie and her Daddy’s Rooty Toot. As a baby, Avery blessed her family with beautiful brown eyes, honey wheat curls and freckles that danced on her cheeks when she laughed like her Granddad. As a little girl she loved to snuggle or simply hold your hand. As Avery grew into a young lady, she liked nothing more than to stand “above” her family and lean over to embrace someone in one of her famous hugs while referencing them as “short stuff.”
As a child of God, Avery dearly cherished all animals. She was always found outside among farm animals providing her sweet voice and a soft stroking of her hand. Avery loved when her family launched the Rooty Toot Ranch traveling, petting zoo in her name and likeness. From llamas to potbelly pigs, she would spend weeks taming every animal and teaching it to lead.
However, being with her horse, Boogie, was Avery’s favorite pastime. From sun up to sun down, she was devoted to riding, but would also spend hours on the porch swing with Boogie grazing in the yard nearby.
Her second love was music of all kinds and of all ages, but especially “old time” country music by Conway Twitty. She would spend hours listening to songs, but had the uncanny ability to memorize a song in only moments whether it was rap, rock, country or pop. Avery would spontaneously bust out a dance with her father and entertain her family with funny videos.
As a member of the Cherokee Nation, each year Avery participated and placed in the top three at Cherokee language bowl and Cherokee cultural competitions. She was an avid State competitor in trap shooting and archery where she placed in many regional and state levels. Avery was a member of the Future Farmers of America, showed livestock, and highly anticipated the upcoming county and state fairs. Her friends, parents, teachers, coaches, and administrators at Claremore Sequoyah Schools have surrounded her family with love in these darkest of days.
Avery, with her sweet heart, loved unconditionally. She simply didn’t know any other way than to grace someone with a smile and a tender touch. Avery lit a room with her smile and her laugh, but also just by being present and living in the moment. She loved nothing more than when family would gather to celebrate her birthday every year and, now, we continue to gather to celebrate her life.
She is survived by her parents Kerry and Jon Page, siblings Cale Eidson, Chandler Dunlap and her husband Trey, and Dakota Colt. Beloved grandparents Betty Page, Donna and Kenneth Gunning, and Vicki Moore. Aunts and uncles Gena and Doug Lankford, Sheila Moore Curley, Teresa and Rusty Cleland, Phyllis and Tom Dewitt, Brent and Amy Page, Ja and Holly Page, Joy and Mark Essary, and Lacey Moore. Cousins Lindsey and Caleb Rovenstine, Ben Bullard, Madison Curley, Jessica, Tanner, and Garrett Page, Danielle and Evan Page, Steven Essary, Erin and Paul DeGarmo; Michelle and Kyle Lankford and Colby Lankford; and her darling niece, Paisley Grey Dunlap, or “little dude” to Avery. She is preceded in death by her much-loved grandfathers, “Granddad” Jess Page and “Grandpa John” Moore.
This is not how it should be. This is not how it could be. But, our love for Avery Cheyenne is without end.

The family is honored with your presence at a Memorial Service for our beautiful Avery Cheyenne Page on Friday, September 2 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Claremore, 107 E Will Rogers Blvd, Claremore.
Internment will follow directly at Pheasant Hill Cemetery, Vinita, OK. She will rest in peace next to her Grandpa John. Directions: Highway 2 North, East on 210 Road, to 4382 Drive.
Flowers may be sent to the family of Avery at MMS - Payne Funeral Home, 102 W. 5th St., Claremore.
In lieu of a formal visitation, the family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the family home.
