B.K. Terhune

Memorial service for BK Terhune, III will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. Doctor William Tankersly will officiate. Services are under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Bernard Kenneth Terhune III, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the age of 44.

The son of Bernard and Cynthia Terhune was born March 3, 1971 in Red Bank, New Jersey. At the age of 6, he and his family moved to Claremore. He began attending Claremore schools where he was active in wrestling and football. In 1989 he graduated from Claremore High School. After graduating BK joined the United States Navy. It was also during this time that he married Greta Davis. To this marriage 2 daughters were born. Then after his stint in the Navy, he returned home. He began attending college where he earned his bachelor's degree from Northeastern State University, and his Master's degree in Finance from the University of Michigan. Upon completing his college degrees, BK returned to Oklahoma and began working for Delphi. It was during this time that he met Susan Wages. They would marry on August 8, 2008 in Broken Arrow. The next few years would bring new change for BK. In 1990 he took a job as a temp worker with then ASEC manufacturing. This career change gave him the opportunity to follow the American dream, and work his way toward the top. He currently held the position as Vice President of Internal Audit for Umicore. His job also gave him the opportunity to travel many places all over the world.

In his spare time BK had many interests. He loved studying martial arts, going golfing and fishing, running marathons and eating extra spicy foods. He also relaxed by drawing and painting. However his true love was spending time with his family, and taking them on many adventures.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bernard Kenneth Terhune Jr.

Survivors include he wife Susan "Lily" Terhune, daughters, Kaylee Noel "Sweet Pea" Terhune and Madison Nicholle "Peanut" Terhune; son, Elijah Mitchell "Danger" Terhune; mother, Cynthia Terhune; brother, Troy Terhune; sister, Lori Bonn; grandmother, Mildred Terhune and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
