Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Thursday, May 12, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, 1615 N. Highway 88, Claremore, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Barbara Jean Cutsinger of Claremore, Oklahoma, peacefully passed from this earth, with family, on May 5, 2022, at the age of 84. She was born on February 24, 1938, in Oologah, Oklahoma, to Lonnie Owen and Gladys (Baker) Perryman. Barbara attended school in Tulsa and Claremore, graduating from Claremore High School and later attending Claremore Junior College. She married Johnnie Cutsinger on June 28, 1958.
Barbara spent most of her professional life as a secretary, having worked at Dr. Gordon’s office in Claremore and eventually retiring as the Victim Witness Coordinator at the Rogers County District Attorney’s office in 2003.
Barbara loved giving back to the community. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a philanthropic organization serving the local community. You could often find Barbara volunteering in the food pantry at First United Methodist Church of Claremore. She was incredibly passionate about St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital. Her other hobbies included reading and dancing, but her favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her pride and joy.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law; Tommie Troy and Flossie Bernice Cutsinger, two sons; Johnnie Dwayne and Randall Allen Cutsinger, Brother and sister-in-law; Lonnie Joe and Dolores Perryman and Brother-in-law; Jack Teague.
She is survived by her husband and love of her life of almost 64 years, Johnnie Cutsinger; daughters: Regina (Jimmy) Culbert, of Sand Springs; Randa (Blake) Leibovitz of Claremore; six grandchildren: Bill Bryant of Claremore; Randy (John) Kitchens of Stillwater; Lakin (Jud) Smalley of Claremore; Kylie (Jake) Roberts of Yukon; Kaylee (Derek) Murray of Claremore; Hunter (Sarah) Leibovitz of Tulsa; Nine great-grandchildren: Noah Bryant of Owasso; Lliam Bryant of Claremore; Kolbie and Tristyn Hamilton of Claremore; Everleigh and Nolan Smalley of Claremore; Lyla, Grayson, and Logan Murray of Claremore; One great-great-grandchild: Everett Bryant; Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Eleanor (Sam) Shepherd of Tulsa; Carolyn (Don) Wood of Tulsa; Tommy (Lavon) Cutsinger of Claremore; Bob (Judy) Cutsinger of Claremore; Linda (Jay) Wilson of Arizona; Sharon (Ted) Knight of Poteau; Rick (Kyle) Cutsinger of Tennessee; As well as numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
