Barbara Ann (Riley) Marlin passed away on Sunday October 1, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 73. She was born May 24, 1944 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Raymond and Martha (Hendrix) Riley, Barbara was the 2nd of 7 children.

Barbara attended school to the 11th grade, when she had to quit and began working as a carhop where she met Jimmie Marlin of Pryor, Oklahoma. They married on September 27, 1963, that following March they began their family. Some years later they divorced and neither remarried.

After the divorce she returned to school to get her GED, she fought hard for her education and got her Nursing Aide Certificate, she worked in both Pryor and Claremore as a nurse’s aide. A couple of years later she returned to school receiving her LPN License on November 24, 1987 and worked as a LPN until she retired.

She loved reading romance novels, crocheting, quilting and family time. She specially enjoyed hiding treats and sneaking them to the children whenever they came to visit.

She was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Mary Carr and Holly Schumacher, younger brother John Riley, son Whitney Marlin, niece Katy Dewitt, nephew Darrell Riley, special friends Clyde and Lavaun Marlin also the boy's dad Jimmie Marlin and Great Grandson Infant Joseph Laue.

She is survived by sisters Linda Shrum and Rose Dewitt; brother Bill Riley and wife Shelly; brother-n-law, Tom Carr and Dale Schumacher all of Rogers County. Two sons Wade Marlin and wife Shelly, Chad Marlin and wife Sharon; daughter-n-law, Renia Marlin all of Mayes County; 11 grandchildren Jimmy, Jacob, Timothy, Jessica, Johnna, Candace, Jaimie, Joshua, Dalton, Dylan and Adam, Also 22 great grandchildren and counting.
