Celebration of life services for Barbara Sue Reeves will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Claremore.

Barbara Sue Reeves passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the age of 78. She was born on June 22, 1946, in Cave Creek, Arkansas, to John and Alice (Foster) Criner. Barbara grew up in the Chouteau area, attending grade school there and later completing her education in Tulsa, graduating from Central High School with the class of 1964.

At the age of 11, Barbara met Ted Reeves through her brother, Johnny. On their first meeting, Barbara told her sister, “I am going to marry Teddy.”They became friends, and eventually, their friendship blossomed into a relationship. After Ted returned from successfully serving in the military overseas, the two were married and began their life together. Barbara then attended Tulsa Junior College and later worked in the administration for Broken Arrow Public Schools. She transitioned into accounting in the healthcare industry before opening her own flower shop, "Bells, Buds, and Bows," in Broken Arrow. Creating floral arrangements and coordinating weddings brought her immense joy.

She also dedicated many years of service within the church, leading, teaching, and serving. Serving in numerous positions for the church, her roles within the Primary as teacher, leader and president with the opportunity to be surrounded by children at both the ward and stake level were her favorites. As both ward and stake Primary President, she took the upmost pride in serving and upholding these callings. She thrived in soul and spirit at the opportunity to inspire all “her Primary Children” as even the smallest Moonbeam was valued as a spiritual equal.

Barbara loved plants and flowers, both in her shop and in her multiple gardens at home. Many have had her guided tour of her backyard gardens and witnessed her passion about the greatest potential from even the tiniest of seedlings. Her favorite pastime was designing floral arrangements and decorating for all occasions. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Barbara will be taken home to her family and friends in the hills of Arkansas, a place she loved, where she will be laid to rest.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Johnny, Jim, and Donny "Skip,"; and her sister, Gennie McClelland.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ted Reeves; her sons, Chadwick Reeves and Bradley Reeves and wife Desiree; her daughter, Jamie Lam; her granddaughters, Dahlia Reeves, Marisa Reeves, Mariel McIntosh, Adalee Huff, and Eden Huff; her brother Jerry along with numerous other family members.
