Barry Luman Curtius

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church-Inola on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Barry Luman Curtius passed away on October 16th, 2022 He was 75 years old. Barry was born in Washington, District of Columbia on October 2nd, 1947 to Benjamin Luman Curtius and Catherine Rebecca Pelot, Curtius. Barry graduated from Nathan Hale High School. Growing up his family moved around the U.S many times due to his dad being a career military man. He even spent some time in Germany for awhile. After his time in high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country proudly for 21 years. After his military career he worked at the University of Tulsa as the Food Service Manager for over 20 years. Some of his hobbies included playing pool regularly and was quite the pool shark and visiting Civil War historical sites.
He loved playing UNO with family and Bridge at the local rec center. He especially loved cooking for his friends and family on holidays and special events. He loved to make sure the meals he made had the perfect table presentation. Aside from his hobbies he dearly loved his family and had 47 wonderful years with is wife Linda Curtius.
He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Curtius and Catherine Pelot, Curtius; brother Jon P. Curtius and son Jon B. Curtius.
Barry is survived by his wife Linda Curtius; sons, Brian Curtius and wife Leslie, Mike Curtius and wife Lisa; mother in law, Evadene Adams; grandchildren, Courtney, Shawn, Karli, Bryce, Easton, Ryker and Jentry; Great grandchildren, Hayden, Callum, and Mia along with several other extended family members.
