Belzarah Josephine Wallis was born on July 25, 1934, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Etcil and Sarah Horner. She attended school at Sequoyah and graduated with the class of 1952. During her high school years, she worked at Glen Cliff Ice Cream Shop. She also worked for a time at Safeway in the meat department. On May 29, 1952, she married the love of her life, Hosea M. Wallis. Together they enjoyed raising their two children Larry and Ladonna.
Family always came first to Belza. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her loved ones and made sure their needs were always met. Belza had a talent for sewing and she did beautiful stitch work with embroidery, cross stitch, and crochet. She took great joy and satisfaction in knowing that her creations brought happiness to those she loved. Belza also had a passion for cooking and baking. Her meals were made with love and brought much joy to her family's table.
Belza and Hosea shared many adventures together throughout their 71 years of marriage. One of their favorite pastimes was traveling in their RV as snowbirds to south Texas during the winter months. They also actively participated in an RV club, where they enjoyed camping trips and playing games with other couples who shared their love for RVing.
While she enjoyed socializing and exploring new places, Belza's true contentment was found in peaceful moments spent at home with Hosea, who supported her throughout their incredible journey together. Their unwavering love for each other was an inspiration to all who knew them, and their bond stood as a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment.
Belzarah leaves behind devoted husband Hosea Wallis, her loving daughter, Ladonna Peden, and husband Rick; grandson Michael Dale Wallis; great granddaughter Ella Lee Wallis; aunt Clarice Ward and family; and daughter-in-law Julia Wallis. Belzarah was preceded in death by her parents, Etcil and Sarah Horner; her beloved son Larry Dale Wallis; her sister Mary Jane Horner; as well as baby Smith and niece Theresa Ann Mangum.
