Benjamin Eugene Kelley, known to friends and family as Ben, passed away on June 25, 2023, in Claremore, Oklahoma at the age of 66.   He was born on May 19, 1957, in Bakersfield, California to Homer and Minnie Carpenter Kelley.  Ben's life was one filled with hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family.

Growing up in Verdigris, Ben attended Verdigris and Claremore schools. Even at a young age, he displayed a strong work ethic. As a Youngman, he worked at a local filling station, before pursuing a career as a skilled bricklayer.  In time, Ben's entrepreneurial spirit led him to open his own Muffler shop in Tulsa. He poured his heart and soul into the business and built lasting relationships with customers over many years.   The last couple of years he worked with his son at the Barrell House Liquor  Store.

Outside of work, Ben had a passion for supporting youth sports. He dedicated countless hours to coaching little league baseball for his son and later lent his expertise to coaching his granddaughter's softball team. Watching his grandchildren play soccer brought him immense joy and pride.  Music also played a significant role in Ben's life; he had an unwavering love for rock 'n roll. His spirit soared as he attended numerous concerts throughout the years. Whether it was the pulsating beats or the electrifying guitar solos, music had a way of touching his soul.
He is preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kelley, his son Kit Kelley, and wife Ryan; grandchildren,  Emma, Addyson, and Kiryn Kelley, who brought immeasurable joy into his life. His brother Patrick Kelley and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends also mourn his loss.
