Benny Earl Anderson

Visitation for Benny Earl Anderson will be Thurs., Aug. 15, from 1-8 p.m., at the Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Family will greet friends 6-8 p.m. There will be a luncheon held for his family and friends at the Chelsea Senior Center on Thurs. from 4-5:30 p.m.

Benny passed away Sat., Aug. 10, 2013, at his home at the age of 56.

The son of Vernon LeRoy and Vaughnie Ruth (Barnett) Anderson was born June 1, 1957, in Pryor. He grew up and attended school in Chelsea. On June 15, 1978, Benny married Jackie Ann Seifried at Washington Baptist Church. Benny worked most of his life as a roofer. He was a lifelong mentor and teacher to his children, nephews, grandkids, and anyone he met. He taught everything he knew from living off of the land to plumbing. He loved being outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and gardening. Many times he had three 1 acre gardens he tended to and gave the vegetables to his family and friends.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Vaughnie Arlene Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie of the home; children: Rebeca Moore and husband, Kevin of Tulsa, and Joseph Anderson of Claremore; siblings: Nina Brown, Donza Short, Vernon Anderson, and Allen Anderson; and grandchildren: John Malone, III, Emily Malone, Zachary Isaiah Anderson, and “Andy” Grace Anderson Moore.
