Bernard Theodore Herrmann

Ted Herrmann passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the age of 80. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel.

Ted, born to Bernard and Helen (Mayer) Herrmann on September 20, 1943, in Crestline, OH, joined the U.S. Airforce after graduating from Catholic School. He dedicated 8 years and completed two tours in Vietnam. During his military service, he met Carolyn, his future wife, and they married in 1970 after both were discharged.

After leaving the military, they settled in Oklahoma, and Ted worked at Coca-Cola for two decades. Post-retirement, he drove a school bus for Claremore Public Schools. Ted's love for sports, especially OU Sooners Football, was well-known. He cherished weekend trips with his family, and spending time with his grandkids brought him immense joy.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tammy. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Todd Herrmann and girlfriend Tiffanie Ramsey; previous daughter-in-law Marianne Brasel and husband Thomas; granddaughters, Brittany Nathman and husband Kyle and their son Caiden, Kaylee Vargas and husband Josh and their children Mateo and Bryleigh, and grandson Joshua Herrmann.
