Betty Jo Adams

Graveside service for Betty Jo Adams will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2021 at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens. Betty passed away on Monday, July 12th, 2021. She was 92.
Betty Jo Adams was born July 21, 1928 in Celestine, Oklahoma to Jacob F. and Ora (Hodges) Smart, she was one of nine children. On December 20, 1942 she married Beecher B. Adams and later made their home in Denver, Colorado.
A homemaker, Betty always put her family first. She was an excellent cook and baker and the family loved her pies. The holidays and family gatherings were special to Betty and she always had wonderful meals planned for them. She loved to garden and canned the vegetables that she grew. Betty was a great seamstress and she also crocheted; her family were gifted many items she made. An active and faithful member of Church of God 7th Day, she enjoyed her church family and served with the ladies group and taught Sabbath School.
Betty leaves behind her beloved family, her son Greg Adams of Claremore, and her daughter Charla Culver and husband James of Chelsea; her grandchildren Clint Culver and wife Ashley, Travis Culver and wife Tammy and Geoffrey Adams and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren Clay, Kyle, Callie, and Emilee. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Beecher Adams; her siblings J.T., Inez, Jessie, Helen, Joyce, Tommie, Bernice, and Loretta.
