Betty Sue Lowery

Service for Betty Sue Lowery was 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Chelsea Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Chelsea Cemetery. Betty passed away on Thursday January 26, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. She was 68.

Born May 16, 1948 in Chelsea, to Hillard and Charlotte (McGhee) Terry, Betty graduated from Chelsea High School. She worked as a waitress at the South Cafe and made many friends over the years. Betty also enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and bingo. She loved spending time with her family and the friends she had at group. Betty had a collection of Betty Boop memorabilia that she treasured.

Those family members that survived include her siblings, John E. Terry and wife Mary of Tulsa, Everett Terry and friend Norma of Chelsea, Virginia Newman of Pryor and Patricia Carder and husband Ken of LaVale, Maryland; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Dameron, and niece Johnnie Mederis.
