Service for Betty Lou Malone will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at House of Prayer Holiness Church. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband, Clint, at Winganon Cemetery. Friends may visit at Chelsea Funeral Home on Monday, November 25 from 1pm-8pm, with family receiving visitors from 6pm-8pm. Betty passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019. She was 74.
Born August 31, 1945 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Brownie and Evelyn Marie (Edwards) Willis, Betty attended school in Chelsea, and it was here that she met Clint Malone. The couple married on February 11, 1961, and they made Chelsea their home through the years.
Betty loved her family and took great care of them. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed having them at her home for meals, and they loved all the tasty treats she made for them. Betty was a great seamstress and loved to make things. She also enjoyed taking trips to Branson, Missouri, taking in the sites of the music shows. Her time with the grandchildren was her most favorite and she made each moment special. She took loving care of her husband Clint until his passing last year even though her health was not quite good.
Those family members that survive include her children Tammy Evans, Brownie Malone and wife Crystal, and Jimmy Malone and wife Vickie; grandchildren Kelly Jo Roberts and husband Trevor, Kyla Elizabeth Evans and Matt Kinsey, McKayla Grace Vann and husband Ty, McKenzie Faith Malone, Jessica Rae Kellehan and husband Tanner, Timmy Ray Malone and wife Jessica, Ashley Marie Mallory and husband Luke, Corey Michael Schulze, and Jeremy Wayne Schulze; great-grandchildren Raven, Drake, Falcon, Adreyonna, Ashton, Aaliyah, Camry, Starling, Larken, Derek, Kaylee Rae, Rhyder, Paislee, and Ky; and sister Jo Ann Willis. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Clint, her parents, sisters Kathryn and Anna Kay, and an infant brother.
