Funeral service for Betty Taylor will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2023 at the House of Prayer Church, burial will follow at Lone Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, February 26, from 2pm-6pm.
Betty Irene England-Taylor passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at her home in Claremore at the age of 77.
The daughter of Charlie and Elizabeth (Setters) Patton was born November 22, 1945 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Betty married James P “J.P.” England on September 18, 1961. They made their home in Foyil, Oklahoma where they raised their 3 children.
Betty worked at Foyil School as a cook, owned England’s Grocery, The Upholster Shop, and finally J.P. and Betty started England Enterprise, where they began driving trucks together until his death March 8, 2013.
Betty married Willie Taylor August 22, 2015. She inherited and welcomed more family into her life.
She attended House of Prayer Church for many years. She loved and cared for her family and friends until the end. She loved her family, friends, and church family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She like to cross stich, read, crochet, and be creative. Her favorite place was on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was fun, loving, giving, outgoing and adventurous.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; and husband J P England, grandson; Blake Kaase.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Taylor, children: Betty Jane “Janie” Chaney and husband, George, Rosetta England, Phillip England, Jane Ann Berry and husband Jim, and Glenn Taylor. 9 grandchildren which called her “Betty Boss” affectionately, 21 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
