Betty June Woods

Services for Betty June Woods will be 10:00a.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Betty passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Arbor House of Weatherford. She was 91.

Born June 12, 1925 in Bushyhead, Oklahoma to Earnest B. and Josie May (Heape) Reavis, Betty attended Alluwe High School and graduated with the class of 1943. On March 20, 1946 she married John Woods, Jr. in a Coffeeville, Kansas ceremony.

Betty's hobbies were many. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens and feeding the birds. She was a great cook and often fixed after school meals for her grandchildren and lunch for her son as they watched her favorite soap opera, The Young And The Restless. Betty and John loved to dance and they spent many hours on the dance floor. She also liked to travel and see new places. Betty kept track of all family birthdays and you could always count on a thoughtful card, written with her beautiful penmanship, on your special day.

Those family members that survive include her son Alan Woods and wife Angela and her daughter Reta Sanders and husband David; her grandchildren Theresa Rutledge and husband Quincy, Michael Woods and wife Monica, Clint Woods, J.R. Woods and Robert "Bobby" Woods and wife Lori; great grandchildren Matthew, Cody, Taylor, Jordan and Trinity Woods.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Woods, Jr. and her son Carey Woods.
