Billie “Bill” Luster; 80, of Oologah, Ok passed away on October 19, 2022 at the age of 80.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, OK.
Billie “Bill” Luster was born on August 27, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents Eddie and Bessie Luster. He was raised on the old navigational channel of the Verdigris River. In 1960, Bill graduated from The Inola Public School System, going forward to live a very full and accomplished life. He served his country in the National Guard, built and co-owned H&L Meat Processing in Verdigris, was the President of the Verdigris School Board, and also worked 31 years for the Burlington Northern Railroad. When Bill retired instead of sitting back and relaxing he bought the "Lonesome Bell River Ranch, a 208 acre pecan farm located on the Caney River, that he affectionately called "Heaven On Earth", taking great pride in growing the best pecans in Rogers County. In the spare time that he did have, Bill loved to go hunting and fishing enjoying his time in the outdoors.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; Eddie and Bessie Luster. Brother Bobbie Luster and Sister Betty Lou Luster.
He is survived by his children; Kimberly Logue and husband Christopher of Japan, Kristen Yocham of Houston, Texas, Kacy Hayes and husband Charles of Chelsea, Oklahoma, grandkids; Jordyn Logue, Anthony Logue, Dedrick Yocham, Hank Yocham, Hunter Hayes, and Peyton Hayes. Brother; Edward Luster, Sister; Margie Hilbert.
