Funeral service for Billy Charles Couch will be 1 p.m., Tues., Dec. 20, at Foyil Assembly of God with Rev. Jack DaMico officiating. Services are under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Mon. 1-8 p.m.
Billy died Thurs., Dec. 15, 2011, at his home at the age of 77.
The son of Clarence Charles and Sylvia (Quigley) Couch was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Chelsea. Billy attended Chelsea schools, and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy. He served during the Korean War as a signalman on the USS John A. Bole. On Dec. 24, 1955, Billy married Betty Ann Cross in Redondo Beach, CA. Billy went to work with Crosby-McKissick, and later retired from Baker Hughes-Centrilift as a machinist. Billy loved playing his steel guitar at the Senior Jam and dance; and spending time with his family.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Wayne Couch, and Bob Couch; sister, Mary Evelyn Holland; and nephew, Patrick Couch.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home; children: Debbie Livingston and husband, Steve of Buena Park, CA, Sherry Bickford and husband, Gary of Claremore, Rick Couch and wife, Shannon of Claremore, and Jeff Couch of Chelsea; grandchildren: Kristie Sullivan of Laguna Niguel, CA, Mike Livingston and Kimberly Jackson of Broken Arrow, Cody Couch of Chelsea, Brandon Bickford and MacKenzie Couch of Claremore; and great-grandchildren: Alec, Kaylee, Marshall, Ethan, and Ashley.
