Blanket Allen

Memorial service for Blanket Allen will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel.
He passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at the age of 63.
The son of Harold W. and Sarah Chapples Allen was born January 3, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was raised in Spiro, where he graduated from high school in 1965. He married Jenny Miser on December 6, 1975. He began working over seas on power plants for companies such as G.E., Penpower, and Combustion Engineering. He enjoyed working outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his two grandsons.
He will be remembered as a man of high standards who worked hard to provide the best for his family. His strong work ethics led him to have many friends all over the world. Family came first and they remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He is preceded in death by his parents
Survivors include his wife Jenny of the Home; son, Wayne Allen of Rogers, Arkansas; daughter, Kelsey Wells of Claremore; grandsons, Colton Wayne Allen of Broken Arrow, and Ryan Allen Wells of Claremore; sister, Mary Wilson of Mannford, brothers, Johnny Allen of Mannford, Robert Allen of Turley, and Jerry Allen of Berryhill and numerous, nieces, nephews and friends.
