Bob Eugene Loudermilk

Funeral services for Bob Eugene Loudermilk will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 1-8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

Bob passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 88.

Bob was born in Hartford, Arkansas, on October 28, 1935, to Cannie and Florence (Hatcher) Loudermilk. As a young boy, his family moved to Carson, California, where he lived until he joined the Marine Corps. During his time in the service, he met Barbara Doss, and they were married on December 28, 1956. The couple made their home in Cypress, California.

After his discharge from the Marine Corps, Bob worked for McDonnell Douglas. In 1979, wanting to be closer to his mother, Bob and Barbara relocated to Claremore, Oklahoma. He transferred to McDonnell Douglas in Tulsa, where he worked until retiring in 1990. Wanting to continue working Bob took a job as a maintenance supervisor at Claremore Hospital and later as a lake patrol officer at Claremore Lake—a job he thoroughly enjoyed.

In his spare time, Bob loved hunting, fishing, practicing martial arts, and watching westerns and OU football. He was an avid reader and a member of both the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

Bob lived a long and happy life. He died with family at his side as he departed from this earth. He is survived by his children, Trich and Joe Clyma, Kevin and Debbie Loudermilk, Michael Eugene and Jodie Loudermilk, and Jenny and Daryl Bauer. He was a beloved Papa to 17 grandchildren their spouses , 43 great-grandchildren, and his brother Wayne Loudermilk.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Cannie and Florence (Ethel) Loudermilk; his wife, Barbara Loudermilk; and his siblings, Vivian Smith, Hedy Martin, Jimmy Loudermilk, and Rose Longfield.
