Bobby William McCann

Funeral service for Bobby William McCann will be 10 a.m., Mon., Aug. 6, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. Michael Clark officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., and family will greet friends 4-6 p.m.

Bobby died Thurs., Aug. 2, 2012, at the Claremore Veterans Center at the age of 82.

The son of George Robert McCann, Sr. and Maude (McGregor) McCann was born March 26, 1930, in Neodesha, KS. He attended schools in Chanute, KS. On Nov. 30, 1952, Bobby married Mary Elaine Hunt in Chanute, KS. He worked as a steel worker for many years. Bobby was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, attending stock car races, and wrestling.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph Edward McCann; and sisters: Isla Patterson and Georgia May White.

Bobby is survived by his daughters: Roberta Lynn Morehead of Jennings, and Glenda Elaine McCann of Tulsa; brothers: George Robert McCann, Jr. of Sand Springs, and Billy Joe McCann of Elsmore, KS; granddaughter, Megan Kathleen Henry of Phoenix, AZ; and great-grandchildren: Payton Lynn Henry and Dylan Alexander Henry.
