Born June 24, 1941 in Stillwater, OK to David Wilson and Chloetilda Ruth (Mefford) Harwood, Bonnie was reared and educated in Kellyville.
On July 21, 1958 Bonnie married serviceman, Walter Eldon Asher, in a Kellyville ceremony. They made their home in San Francisco until his discharge when they moved to Tulsa where they raised their children. They then moved to Inola where they lived for many years before moving to Chelsea. Bonnie was a member of Bethel Chapel and enjoyed singing in church. She also traveled with her husband doing evangelistic work.

Her family and friends were her first priority and Bonnie dedicated her life to the nurturing and caring for them. When time allowed, she enjoyed crafts, working in her flower beds, and going to garage sales.

She was preceded in death by her father, David; and brother, Tommy Harwood.

A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Bonnie will be missed by all who knew her. Those family members that survive include her husband Walter of their home in Chelsea; her children Denton Asher also of Chelsea, Timothy Asher and wife, Trixi of Claremore and Rebecca Mason and husband, Stan of Broken Arrow; her mother Chloetilda Mefford of Chelsea; grandchildren: Caleb and Katherine Mason; and her brother Donald Harwood and wife, Janet also of Chelsea.
