Bonnie Lou Jones

February 19, 1960 — May 17, 2013

Funeral service for Bonnie Lou Jones will be 11 a.m., Wed., March 22, at New Hope Church of God with Rev. Mark Tincher officiating. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 4-6 p.m.

Bonnie passed away Fri., May 17, 2013, at her home at the age of 53.

The daughter of James Samuel and Dorothy Elizabeth (Lowmiller) Long was born Feb. 19, 1960, in Syracuse, NY. In 1977, she moved with her family to Oklahoma. Bonnie worked as a technician at the Tulsa Bus Plant, and as a moving company packer. She was a vibrant fun person who loved making people laugh. She loved motorcycle riding and fishing. And she also enjoyed antiques and camping. Family gatherings were important to her, where she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Elizabeth Long; and sister, Candy Benton.

She is survived by her children: Charles D. Jones, II and wife, Kathy of Inola, and Brandy L. Elliott and husband, Michael of Ft. Belvoir, VA; grandchildren: Charli Jones of Claremore, Brenden Chartier of Ft. Belvoir, VA, and Cortnee Chartier of Ft. Belvoir, VA; father, James S. Long of Tulsa; mother, Janice Long of Inola; and siblings: Jimmy Long and wife, Bonnie of Tiawah, Terry Long and wife, Patty of New York, Paul Long and wife, Rita of Tulsa, Peggy Hunt and husband, Art of Inola, Shirley Congleton and husband, Bill of Inola, Becky Long of Inola, and Rhonda Blankenship and husband, Ronnie of Inola; and life long friend, Danny Spurlock.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
