Funeral services for Bonnie Outlaw will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2024, at the MMS – Payne Chapel.
Bonnie Passed at age 77 in the early hours of December 11, 2024, with family at her side. She was born on May 12, 1947, in Grass Valley, California to Cecil and Minnie (Bastian) Angove.
After graduating high school in 1965, she attended dental hygienist school in San Francisco, California. She enjoyed working as a hygienist for several years. Later she earned a degree in children’s literature from American River Community College. With this education, in the late 1970’s Bonnie worked as an elementary school teaching assistant in Orangevale, California. But it was her career supporting American warfighters as a Civilian Air Force Employee that gave her a true sense of purpose. She retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 2017, after 36 years of service to our Nation.
Bonnie was a kind soul that loved people. Even in her last days rattled with dementia she brought light and joy to the nursing staff that cared for her. She was a beloved mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her faith in Jesus was her anchor in the storms of life. Her work ethic, career, and serving others were her hallmark. But her joy was her family. She loved her children, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, cousins and in-laws alike.
She had a lifelong passion to explore the world around her. She was never afraid of new adventures: from a motorcycle road trip to Alaska, a Jeep trip over the Rubicon trail in California, skiing on lake Tahoe, running a 5k across the Golden Gate Bridge, or her multiple trips to Europe, or backpacking in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, just to name a few of her adventures. Bonnie had a zest for life and brought light to the world around her.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Minnie and Cecil Angove, brother Robbert Angove, and beloved cousin Connie Bastian.
She is survived by her Daughter Angela Outlaw of Norman, Ok; Son Dan Outlaw and Daughter in Law Melissa of Claremore Ok, Grandchildren: Conner Outlaw and wife Fiorella of Hampton, VA; Mikalya Colby and husband Austin of Farmersville, TX; Matt Outlaw and wife Lisa of Puyallup, WA; Josh Outlaw and wife Lynse of Claremore, OK; Ava Outlaw of Claremore, OK; and Korbin Outlaw of Claremore, OK. Great Granddaughters: Ryleigh, Freya, & Joanna. As well as Amy, Kelsey, Ashlyn, Eaton, and Bray Glenn whom she loved as her own.
We will always miss you Grandma Bonnie.
