Boyce Burnell Welch passed away on January 8, 2023 he was 83 years old. Boyce was born to Jeuel Welch and Dortha Welch on May 20, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in Sand Springs, Ok attending Sand Springs Public Schools. Shortly, after his high school years he took a job as surveyor in Minnesota. There he met his first wife Ellen Smith the couple married at a young age of 19. They moved back to Oklahoma and he began attending Barber School and barbered in Tulsa for many years before he took a job with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. Ellen and Boyce were married for 32 years until Ellen’s passing in 1990. Together they had one daughter Cindy.
In 1991 Boyce met Jan Melton and the couple married and made their home in Claremore, Oklahoma. Boyce loved to travel with Jan, the couple traveled to the Yellowstone national park, loved going to different beaches, traveling to OSU football games to watch his grandson. Boyce also loved doing yard work especially picking up sticks. He was a sports fanatic and loved watching any kind of sporting event. Boyce was a character. He had a big voice and laugh he could always find the bright side in anything and always loved to have fun. Above anything else he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeuel and Dortha Welch; his first wife, Ellen Welch; and one brother Kelsey Welch.
Boyce is survived by his wife, Jan Welch; daughter, Cindy Story and husband Shawn; Sons, David Book and wife Mistey, Mark Book and wife Jennifer; two brothers; grandchildren, Daniel Welch, Jeremy Welch, Burnell Adcock, Levy Adcock, Casey Adcock, Zoe Book, Brittany Book, and Bailey Book; Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn Agent, Paige Ellenburg, Jaxson Dowel, Judah Welch, Anna Adcock, L.J. Adcock, Dallas White, and Emma Book.
