Memorial service for Brenda Jalene [Beauford] DeVore will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2017 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Brenda passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017. She had been ill for a number of years. She was 72.
Born September 22, 1945 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Forrest Daniel and Opal Jane (Wilburn) Beauford, Brenda attended Claremore Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1963. She continued her education, attending airline reservationist school in Kansas City. Upon completion, Brenda moved to Tulsa and then to Broken Arrow, where she resided for several years. Brenda had been employed at Brown Duncan and Renberg’s. Later Brenda obtained her realtor’s license and enjoyed her tenure and success in this field.
Brenda had many talents; she was a wonderful singer, and was very creative in home decorating and floral design. She designed earrings under BeDe Designs. Brenda also used many different mediums and materials to create and sell art for the home under Bon Vivant. Brenda loved to travel, especially abroad; Hawaii, France, Spain and Belize were among her favorite sites. She was always active and never one to be idle.
Survivors include her son Ray Patten, Jr. and wife Molly of North Wales, Pennsylvania; sister Vicki McCuistian of Claremore; nephew Sean McCuistian and wife Kelly, and daughters Shelby and Olivia of Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Brenda was preceded in death by husband, Robert F. DeVore and parents, Forrest and Jane Beauford.
