Memorial service for Bruce "Butch" LaRue will be 6 p.m., Thurs., April 7, at Bible Believers Church. Fellowship will follow the service. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m., Wed., April 6, at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Butch died Sun., April 3, 2011, at Claremore Regional Hospital at the age of 60.
The son of Jacob Roe and Edna Marie (Chapman) LaRue was born Oct. 15, 1950, in Tacoma, WA. He attended Anderson High School in Anderson, IN. On Oct. 1, 1972, he married Connie Kay King in Eaton, IN. Butch was a general contractor. He enjoyed playing chess, fishing, mechanic work, taking hikes, playing cards, and reading the Bible.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Kay (King) LaRue of the home; children: Jacob LaRue and wife, Becky of Campbell, MO, Christopher Eads of Inola, and Missi Anderson and husband, Steven Ables of Tulsa; grandchildren: Jenny and Britney LaRue, Naomi and Charlie Eads, and Alissa, Hope, and Michale Anderson; and siblings: Earl LaRue of Mooreland, IN, Norman LaRue of Fortville, IN, Ardella Maddox of Greenfield, IN, Maruth Brewer of Dallas, TX, and Nelda Adams of Anderson, IN.
