Cari Sue Fryman passed away on May 17, 2021. She was 48 years old. Cari was born to Mark and Cheryl Newman in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on March 15, 1973. Growing up, Cari and the family moved around to many states. The family settled in Tulsa, and Cari attended Jenks Public Schools and graduated in 1991. After high school, Cari lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for some time before moving back to Oklahoma in 2011. She began working at UPCO where she met her husband, Robert Fryman, in 2012. Cari accomplished one of her biggest goals when she graduated from TCC with an associate's degree in Bio-Technology.
Cari had many hobbies during her life. Music was important to her; she enjoyed playing the flute, piano, and guitar. She was part of the color guard and marching band at Jenks High School. She enjoyed hot air ballooning, was an expert at trivia, and was a master "punster."
She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Mark B. Newman; her brother, Matthew B. Newman; and her grandparents: R.O. (Dick) and Betty Newman, Mary W. Walker, and Floyd L. Walker.
Cari is survived by her loving husband, Robert Fryman; sons, Jeff Pittman and fiance Sarah Shafer, and Mark Pittman; granddaughter, Charlotte Pittman; mother, Cheryl Newman; sisters, Lori Flaherty and Megan Newman; life-sister, Rachel Newman; nephews, Talon Flaherty and Maximus Newman; nieces, Kelsey Flaherty, Faith Morrissey, and Anabel Morrissey; great-nieces, Emi Antonio and Samantha Petroff; and great-nephew, Elias Petroff. She is also survived by her aunts, Linda Weathers and Marylea Byrd, and her uncles, James Walker and Richard Newman, and many cousins.
