Born July 19, 1947 in Hallettsville, Texas to Irven Bigelow and Anita Christina (Lorfing) Brown, Wayne received his education from Hallettsville High School. While in high school, he played baseball and was scouted for by several colleges. Wayne was a skillful calf roper and won the championship at the San Antonio livestock show in 1979, with his horse Buford. He worked most of his life as an independent pipeline welder.
On October 23, 1992, Wayne married Mary Ann Spurlock in a Gallup, New Mexico ceremony. He loved his family and would spend time in the yard under a tree giving his grandchildren advise and life lessons. He was their biggest fan and always had their best interest at heart. Wayne enjoyed his motorcycle and the rides he had with his boys. The man could barbeque...everyone loved his brisket and ribs. He had many sayings, like it's Wayno, be cool, always said with his hand up and he called his lovely wife Miss.
A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, Wayne will be missed by all who knew him. Those family members that survive include his wife Mary Ann of their home; his children Tinker I Brown and wife Kimberlee of Gonzales, TX, Buttons G. Brown of New Braunfels, TX; his step children Rogena Aguero, Anne Adams, Michael Storm, Julie Bauer, Marlo Burch, Carla Cooper, Marvin Vail and Tanya Burrell; his grandchildren Madelynn Brown, Hagen Brown, Declan Brown, Cameron Jones, Justin Bauer and 25 other grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
