Service for Carroll Lee Love will be 2:00p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 at Chelsea Funeral Home Chapel; burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, March 4, from 1pm-6pm. Carroll passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in his home, attended by his great niece Audrey Manley, her husband Adam and son Maynard and his late nephew's wife, Janet Love. He was 84.
Born June 4, 1933 in Jenks, Oklahoma to Neal and Sylvia (McGonigal) Love, Carroll received his education from Jenks schools. Following his schooling, he joined the Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Upon his return to the states, Carroll made his home in Oklahoma, settling in Chelsea. On September 1, 1978 he married Faye Smith and they made their home in the Tulsa and Bixby area and later settling in Chelsea. For most of his life, Carroll worked in construction and welding. He worked at many different companies through the years. When he wasn’t working you could find him spending time at his favorite fishing hole. Carroll also enjoyed woodworking.
Those family that survive include his nieces Linda Love Dugger and family of Broken Arrow and Annette Love Peters and family of Joplin; and many other great nieces and nephews; step daughter Terry Smith of Chelsea and her family. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, wife Faye, brothers Leon Love and James Love, sister Wathena Chapel and a niece April Love Smith and a nephew William Love.
