Graveside service for Catherine Nimmo will be held 2:00 p.m, November 22. 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Catherine passed away on Thursday, November 18th, 2021 at the age of 80.
The daughter of Robert and Lily Barnes Nipper was born May 14, 1941 in Claremore, Oklahoma. There she would later attend Claremore schools. It was there that she would meet Robert Nimmo. They would become high school sweethearts and eventually marry. With work hard to find Robert enlisted in the U.S. Airforce. This would take Catherine and Robert to Dover, Delaware and to Newfoundland before returning home to Claremore. For the next several years, Catherine's focus remained on her family. She was very active in all the activites her children participated in, even serving as a den mother for the cub scouts.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, listening to Elvis, but most of all spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Nimmo, son, Robert Nimmo Jr, siblings, Mary, George, and Doug.
Survivors include her children, Brenda Nimmo and wife Melissa Evens, and Mike Nimmo and wife Michelle; granddaughter, Emily Nimmo, siblings, Alice, Edith, Geneva, Laurie and Truman, along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
