Cathy Jean Kizer passed away at her home on Saturday, September 19, 2020 with her sisters by her side. Cathy was more than a sister; she was a friend to all her siblings and deeply loved. She was 67.
Born July 14, 1953 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Tillman I. and Wilma E. (Collins) Kizer, Cathy attended school at Sequoyah, graduating with the class of 1972. She worked at several different places thru the years, in 2013, she along with sister Tina opened the Happy Feet Daycare. Having helped with her many nieces and nephews, she was perfectly suited for this type of work. Cathy loved children and they all loved her.
Cathy was always busy with different crafts. She crocheted many blankets and gave them to her family. During the holidays she made Christmas decorations and since her mother Wilma's passing, she, with the help of Tina, cooked the family meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Cathy also made sure that all of her family received a gift for Christmas. In her spare time, you would find her working the latest crossword puzzle or reading a good book. The time spent with her family was the most important to her. Cathy was also a strong supporter of the Relay for Life, doing anything she could to help with the Wilma's Angels team. She shared her love and talents with her friends and family and will be forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Tillman and Wilma Kizer; brothers Michael Kizer and Phillip Kizer, great nephews Montana Dennis And Abram Lewis, and her precious cat Sambo.
Cathy is survived by her sisters; Dorothy and Jack Dennis; Ellen and Lenny Yates; Tina Kizer all of Claremore; Peggy and Andy Griffin of Yale; numerous nieces and nephews; along with cousins Rex and Jeanna Collins of Pryor and Roger Collins of Nowata.
