Charles Henry Humphreys

Graveside service for Charles Henry Humphreys will be 11 a.m., Mon., Aug. 12, at Highland Cemetery, Inola, with Elder Foy O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., and family will greet friends 1-3 p.m. Charles passed away Thurs., Aug. 8, 2013, at his home at the age of 83. The son of Charles and Margaret (Hobbs) Humphreys was born April 2, 1930, in Nesbit, Mississippi. Charles graduated from Tate County Agriculture High School in Senatobia, Mississippi, in May of 1948. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force with deployment in Wyoming, Germany, Tripoli, Libya, and finished in Amarillo, TX. He was honorably discharged in Nov. of 1951. Charles married Audrey Estylene Duke on June 18, 1955, in Clovis, NM. Charles began his work career in Amarillo with Walsh Frozen Foods.
