Born August 17, 1938 to Howard and Estelene (Jennings) Keller, Charles graduated from Claremore High School in 1956. As a young child, he began a strong work ethic. Charles sold watermelons from his uncle's farm to buy his first car. After graduation, he began working for US Testing Company and for his father at Keller Storage and Moving. While in Claremore, Charles met Judi, and their first date was to Church. A short time later he was called to duty in the US Army. After completing basic training Charles and Judi married on December 10, 1962, and made their home in Washington, DC. After serving 2 years in Washington, they returned to Claremore, where they have made their home ever since. Upon returning, Charles went to work for ODOT for 36 years, as a Specialist Technologist III. In 1997 he built Keller Mini Storage and continued to operate it.
Charles was a member of First Church Church of God in Claremore, and a lifelong member of the American Legion. He loved Grand Lake and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, gardening, and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Once a year he would take a trip with Judi to the Yuba River in California, to pan for gold.
