Funeral service for Cheryl Dainise Ballard will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, at First Church of God, Pryor, with Pastor Andrew Rehbein officiating. Burial will follow at West Cemetery in Choutea under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 5-7 p.m.
Cheryl passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013, at her home at the age of 60.
The daughter of Jack W. and Dorothy D. (Tyson) Noah was born February 10, 1953, in Tulsa. She attended school in Tulsa and graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1971. She later graduated from Draughon School of Business. She worked at Gray’s Jewelry in Tulsa as a secretary for several years. Cheryl became involved with the Tulsa Boys Singers when her sons were members. She loved cooking for all fifty boys during the summer camps and continued for 14 years. Cheryl married Jack Ballard on Aug. 3, 1980, in Tulsa. They made their home in Inola in 2003. Cheryl’s passion was cooking and she loved all her many pets. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Noah; father-in-law, Bob Ballard; and sister-in-law, Janet Holman.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jack Ballard of the home; children: Tracey Ballard and wife, Tia of Inola, Dustin Ballard of Broken Arrow, Heather Driskill and husband, Anthoney of Tulsa, and Tennille Gregory and husband, Allen of Jenks; parents: Dorothy Wiggins and husband, Jim of Tulsa; mother-in-law, Betty Ballard of Pryor; sister, Beverly Driver and husband, Rick of Inola; brother, Brad Noah of Tulsa; brother-in-law, Sid Holman of Pryor; 7 grandchildren; and many other family members.
