Chet William Hill

Chet William Hill will be remembered Friday at 11 a.m. at a graveside service at McLaughlin Cemetery in Cleora. There will also be a memorial service for Chet at 11 a.m., Monday., Aug. 9, at Christian Chapel in Tulsa. Prior to both of those services, friends can greet the family at a visitation at the funeral home today from 5-8 p.m. Service is under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory.
Chet died Tues., Aug. 3, 2010, at his home at the age of 48.
The son of Pharis Joe and Nancy Arden (Woodall) Hill was born May 30, 1962, in Pryor. Chet graduated from Afton High School in 1980; and then received his Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics from OSU Tech in 1985. On Feb. 14, 1986, Chet married Stephanie Swetland in Ketchum. They made their home in Claremore. Chet was a member of Tulsa's Christian Chapel. He enjoyed using his tools to repair any and all things. He also enjoyed cooking, going to flea markets, and boating.
Chet was preceded in death by his father, Pharis Hill; his father-in-law, Raymond Swetland and his grandparents;
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie of the home; sons: Cherokee and Caleb Hill both of the home; mother, Nancy Hill of Cleora; siblings: Cindy Lloyd and husband, Butch of Ellsworth, KS, Curtis Hill of Cleora, and Janet Gibbs and husband, Joe of Rose Hill, KS; nephews and nieces: Matthew Lloyd of Ellsworth, KS, Maegan Lloyd of Ellsworth, KS, Christal Thomas of Norman, Casey Hill of Cleora, Kyle Hill of Cleora, Jeremiah Gibbs of Winfield, KS, Joshua Gibbs of Derby, KS, Kristen Frost of Washington, DC, Kalli Frost of San Dimas, CA, and Kyle Frost of Big Cabin; mother-in-law, Bernice Swetland of Big Cabin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rick and Susanne Frost of Big Cabin; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
